About Us

Tracing the line beneath the foundation is not easy. Or is it?

We have a secret. For years, a Dallas leak and line locator has had the competitive edge when it came to locating water lines beneath concrete foundations. We call it the Pulsar 2000 Line Tracer.

The Pulsar 2000 Line Tracer uses commonsense technology to trace specific lines under a foundation without the need for grounding or guesswork. Similar, more expensive tracing systems energize the entire network of water pipes beneath the structure, which makes finding the faulty line a slow and difficult task.

The Pulsar 2000 Line Tracer's self-contained, rechargeable system lets you trace only one line, the line you need, without trial and error. That means time and money saved, more clients for your business and a better profit margin. Up until now, the Pulsar 2000 Line Tracer has been our little secret. Now it can be yours too.

Proven in the field since 1989

We have used the Pulsar 2000 Line Tracer along with Geophones in our own leak locating business since January 1989. Our leak locates are accurate 95% of the time, and the line we trace is always there. See it in action:

Geophone leak detector with brass sensing heads, stethoscope headset and wooden carrying case

Recommended Companion Tool

Geophone Leak Detector

A Geophone is an acoustic listening device with two brass sensing heads and a stethoscope-style headset. Placed on the ground or slab about three feet apart, the heads pick up the rush of water escaping a pressurized pipe. Move them until the sound is equal in both ears and you're standing directly over the leak.

Paired with the Pulsar 2000 Line Tracer, it's a simple two-step process: trace the line, then listen along it to pinpoint the leak.

We no longer sell Geophones, but they are still widely available online from plumbing and waterworks suppliers.

Legacy Product

XL-2 Fluid Detector

Discontinued: the XL-2 is no longer sold or manufactured.

The Detectron XL-2 was an electronic leak detector that amplified the sound of water escaping a pipe. We used it alongside the Pulsar 2000 Line Tracer and Geophones in our own leak locating business for many years. We list it here for customers who still own one.
